Flame Hardening Capabilities- Oliver Gear
Flame hardening is a surface hardening process. Heat is applied by high temperature flame followed by water quench. Steels with carbon content in the range of 0.40 to 0.55% are the best candidates for this hardening process.
Thread mills cut internal and external threads of specific pitch. A three axis mill is used for this process.
The Oliver Gear subsidiary, located in Buffalo, NY, manufactures a wide range of gearing applications. Oliver Gear measures in both imperial and metric dimension for your global projects. Whether you need high quality gears, material hardening, or cut threads, make Oliver Gear your first choice.
